Fresh Apricots 8x10"

I was inspired to create this painting by fresh local apricots I bought at my village grower's market. I planted an apricot tree about a year ago and my tree hasn't fruited yet, but I've seen mature trees in the village where I live that are full of apricots. I was delighted to buy and enjoy this local fruit.

I created this painting from life with a palette knife and professional-grade oil paint on a cradled birch wood panel. The sides are light-colored natural wood. The painting is wired and ready to hang for a modern/minimalist presentation or it will easily fit into a standard 8 x 10-inch. frame.
