New Mexico Art In Public Places
I am pleased my paintings were selected to be included in the New Mexico Only Purchase Initiative/Art in Public Places Program portfolio. They will be available for various sites and public buildings throughout New Mexico that have 1% for public art funds available to them.
These paintings were all created of and where I live in peaceful Corrales - the hollyhocks that grow in my courtyard, the majestic and magical view of the Sandia mountains and clouds that are an integral aspect of my daily life, and of the glorious fall colors of cottonwood trees and sage.

CORRALES ART STUDIO TOUR 2024
I’ll be participating in the 2024 Corrales Art Studio Tour on May 4-5 2024 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Preview Gallery at Historic San Ysidro Church, 966 Old Church Road, will be open to the public Thursday, May 2, 6-9PM, and Saturday/Sunday, May 4-5, 10AM - 5PM.
Paint New Mexico
I will be participating in the Paint New Mexico event May 1-23 - I will paint en plein air during that time and one - two of my paintings will be in a show at Weems Gallery in Albuquerque. The Show will open on June 1 and close on June 23, with the opening reception on June 7 from 5-7pm. I will post more info soon.
The Architecture of Beauty – Works by Prominent NM Artists
I will have 15 - 20 paintings, mostly landscapes in oil, in this exhibition at the New Mexico Cancer. There are 17 other artists participating in this exhibition with a total of approximately 360 works of art available for sale. Artists will receives 60% of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork. The other 40% goes towards the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation. That portion is tax-deductible for the buyer and is used to help patients with their non-medical expenses such as housing or utilities.
I will post selected paintings in here in June 2024 after the curated visits my studio to select the paintings to be featured.

My painting, ‘Fallen Fruit’, will be featured at the Hispanic Arts Gallery at EXPO New Mexico (300 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM), March 22 - April 14, 2024. Gallery will be open to the public Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 am - 5 pm (closed Easter Sunday, March 31).
You are invited to attend the opening reception Friday March 22 from 5 - 8 pm.

I will have three paintings featured at the ArtsThrive 33rd Annual Art Exhibition and Benefit March 14– April 14, 2024 at Albuquerque Museum hosted by the Albuquerque Museum Foundation.
The Gala event will take place on March 16, 2024 - ticket holders have an exclusive opportunity to purchase artworks before the exhibition opens to the public. The public opening will take place Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Old Church Fine Art Show
Three of my paintings will be featured in the 35th Old Church Fine Arts Show at the Historic San Ysidro Church in Corrales, New Mexico during the week of Balloon Fiesta. The show runs from Saturday, October 7 through Sunday October 15, 2023. The hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

My painting, Tamarisk in Spring, will be one of the items raffled at a fundraiser on September 23 at La Entrada Park in Corrales, New Mexico to benefit P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) which has been celebrating women and helping women since its inception in 1869. The nonprofit organization has helped more than 122,000 women pursue educational goals by providing nearly $415 million in grants, scholarships, awards and loans.

Tiny Art, Big Difference
ART AUCTION FOR LITERACY
Two of my paintings will be available through the Tiny Art, Big Difference exhibition and sale. Tiny Art, Big Difference is an auction and sale of original small 8”x 8” artworks presented by Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe (LVSF) and sponsored by First National 1870 Bank where my paintings will be on view during the auction.
Please join us for a reception on Friday June 9 at First National 1870 on the Plaza, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, to celebrate the opening of the auction. The art will be shown at First National 1870 throughout the auction period.
Who Does this Help? Literacy affects every facet of adult life, including work, family, and health. Most jobs today require literacy skills at a level 4/ 6 or more (about a 7th grade level). However, according to the 2017 survey from the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC), 60% of New Mexicans are at level 2 or below. Mission: LVSF’s mission is to provide free tutoring to adults in reading, writing, and speaking English to strengthen our community, families, and the workforce. LVSF has been supporting literacy in our community since 1985. Since then, volunteer tutors have spent over 518,233 hours tutoring adults and supporting them to reach their goals and improve their lives.

Corrales Art Studio Tour 2023
You’re invited to visit my studio gallery during the Corrales Art Studio Tour on May 6-7 from 10 am - 5 pm. My art will be on view and available at 20 El Dorado Road in Corrales - Venue #38. This is a different location from last year. It’s a bit of a drive, but I think it will be worth it to get to see where I create my art and I will have select paintings on sale. I’ll also have plenty of tour catalogs (with map) available if you’d like to begin the tour at my studio (I’m the northernmost venue). If you are unsure of how to get to my studio, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help. The jeweler, Mary K Phillips, will also be showing with me and offering her beautiful handmade jewelry.

2021 Taos Plein Air Juried Paint Out & Show
I am excited and honored to be juried into the 2021 Taos Plein Air Juried Paint Out & Show titled “Painting the Enchanted Circle”! The paint out and exhibitions are a cooperative effort with the PAPNM, the Couse-Sharp Historic Site, the E. L. Blumenschein Museum, Taos Art Museum at Fechin House and the Wilder Nightingale Fine Arts Gallery. Paintings exhibited are to honor the spirit of the historic studios and the artists who helped build this great art colony.

Virtual Graduation Ceremony

Contemplative Art Making: A Practice in Resilience

A solo exhibition of my art work created as part of my dissertation will be held at the Florida State University Counseling Center, Tallahassee, Florida. The opening and a participatory workshop will take place Thursday, April 9th, 2020 5:30-7pm
In the hands-on workshop, learn how to utilize contemplative art making for self care through watercolor painting. Experience first hand the potential of practicing intuitive, process oriented art making as a way to contain, process, and transform stress and emotions to cultivate balance, wellbeing, and resilience. Beginners welcome - no prior art experience necessary. Participants will leave with a completed artwork.
